It is a human rights organisation concerned with human rights in Eritrea in general and the rights of the Red Sea Afar in particular. Principles and ethics of the organisation:
The Red Sea Afar Human Rights Organisation works with regional and international organizations based on transparency and accountability in all its activities. We address countries and influential people in the country and demand respect for human rights on the basis of international principles and protocols. The Red Sea Afar Human Rights Organisation works with complete independence and defends the oppressed and vulnerable in Eritrea and is a loud voice for them in international forums، this organisation was founded in 2016 in the united kingdom.

We strive to document human rights violations and advocate for those whose voices have been silenced.
Our work is grounded in the principles of justice, accountability, and the protection of human dignity.

منظمة عفر البحر الأحمر لحقوق الإنسان هي منظمة مستقلة، غير سياسية، وغير ربحية، تُعنى بالدفاع عن حقوق الإنسان في إرتريا عامة، وحقوق شعب عفر البحر الأحمر بشكل خاص.
مبادئنا واخلاقيات عملنا:
ترتكز المنظمة في عملها على الشفافية والمساءلة، وتلتزم بالمعايير الدولية لحقوق الإنسان.
تعمل المنظمة بالتعاون مع منظمات إقليمية ودولية، وتُخاطب الحكومات وأصحاب القرار للمطالبة باحترام الحقوق الأساسية للأفراد، استنادًا إلى المواثيق والبروتوكولات الدولية.
• تُولي المنظمة اهتمامًا خاصًا بالدفاع عن المقموعين والمستضعفين في إرتريا، وتسعى لأن تكون صوتهم العالي في المحافل الإقليمية والدولية.
تأسيس المنظمة:
تأسست منظمة عفر البحر الأحمر لحقوق الإنسان في عام 2016، ومقرها الرئيسي في لندن، المملكة المتحدة.
شعب العفر في إريتريا: انتهاكات ممنهجة وتهميش مستمر:
يواجه شعب العفر في إريتريا تحديات جسيمة تتعلق بحقوق الإنسان، تتجلى في عدة مظاهر، من بينها
التمييز والاضطهاد
يتعرض شعب العفر للتمييز الممنهج من قبل النظام الإريتري، ويشمل ذلك الاعتقالات التعسفية، الاحتجاز دون محاكمة، وحالات الاختفاء او العمل لقسري، في ظل غياب أي ضمانات قانونية
يُجبر العديد من أبناء العفر على أداء الخدمة العسكرية الإلزامية التي لا تحدد بمدة زمنية، إلى جانب تشغيلهم في مشاريع حكومية دون مقابل عادل، ما يشكل انتهاكًا صارخًا لحقوق الإنسان
الحرمان من التعليم والرعاية الصحية
تعاني مناطق العفر من إهمال حكومي واضح في مجالي التعليم والصحة، مما يحرم الأجيال من فرص التعليم الأساسي والرعاية الصحية اللازمة، ويكرّس الفقر والتهميش
نتهاكات حقوق الأراضي
تقوم الحكومة الإريترية بالاستيلاء على أراضي العفر التقليدية دون تعويض، مع تهجير قسري للسكان الأصليين لصالح مشاريع استثمارية أو عسكرية، ما يُهدد أسس وجودهم التاريخي.
